Many states and public utilities have developed rebate or financing programs to encourage and help offset the cost of energy efficient home improvements. The Efficient Windows Collaborative has compiled a list of programs currently available for windows and patio doors in each state. Eligibility criteria varies by program, but this list is an excellent starting point to find potential savings. Tax Credits

If you purchased ENERGY STAR qualified products from Sunrise in 2014, you may be eligible for a tax credit. Click here to visit the ENERGY STAR website to access the forms needed to apply for your tax credit.

Tax Credit Amount: 10% of the cost, up to $500, but windows are capped at $200.

Must be ENERGY STAR qualified.
You do not have to replace all the windows/doors/skylights in your home to qualify.
And it doesn’t need to be a replacement either – installing a new window where there wasn’t one previously (like in an addition) qualifies.

Tax Credit does NOT include installation costs.

Manufacturer’s Statement:

IRS Form 5695 for Residential Energy Credits.
